Derharv - Scout My experience with Hannah and Derharv Kennels has been nothing but exceptional.

I had spoken to a few other breeders – all women and all quite cold, unhelpful and businesslike!! Before luckily coming across Hannah. Hannah was a breath of fresh air.. she answered every question I had. I could tell right from the start that she just loved her dogs; they weren't just money making machines.

Hannah kept me up to date with regular emails as to Bailey's progress, and photos of the new pups arrived within 24 hours of their birth. Photos and a progress report on all of the pups arrived every week and from 3 weeks on Hannah encouraged visits so that we (the pups and new owner(s)) could get to know each other.

I and my partner visited every 2 weeks and I'm sure we over-stayed our welcome every time but Hannah and her family never made us feel that we had, even though we were in their home for hours.

The puppies were all handled and very loved by Hannah's whole family and as a result I have a well balanced, loving and confident German Shepard Dog, "Scout", as a member of my family.

Scout and I go out everyday and without exception everyday at least one person comments on her beauty and how magnificent she is.

If I ever get another dog I will not be going anywhere except to Derharv and Hannah.

Derharv - Scout Hannah and co. were so exactly the kind of family, home and people that we were looking for in arranging my our new German Shepherd puppy.

After meeting several other breeders who were far less interested in bringing up each and every puppy as if one of their own, our amazement at Hannah's personable approach to the animals she breeds was already enough to convince us to start visits once the newborns were ready.

We were lucky enough to choose from 3 female pupps but then within a few weeks all 6 new puppies in the kennel were sold out! Little Miss Red (colored tassles distinguish the pupps) was to be named 'Scout' and from 5 weeks into her life, Hannah and her family used Scout's name to begin her life's identity.

The day we picked Scout up to transport her to Cheltenham, all of us at the front gate had difficulty saying goodbye, we'd developed such a relationship already between breeder, animal and new dog owner! To this day we send Hannah photos of Scout and her new pet friends and follow on regular occasions with Hannah at the Alpha dog-training lessons.

Hannah was meant to be working in this field, that's for sure, and coupled with her sense for professionalism and zestful attitude toward managing and training animals, she makes an ideal puppy mid-wife and super-qualified Instructor for the Alpha dog-training program.

With previous background experience with other dogs we've owned, and the new life journey we're on with Scout, we can assuredly say that we'd never recommend any breeder more highly than Derharv Kennels.

We would like to express our great satisfaction regarding our experience dealing with Derharv Kennels.

Our new puppy Bartholomew Winston Wilhelm 111 (Bart for short) who is now 5 ½ months old has exceeded our expectations. He is a beautiful looking dog with lovely markings, a gorgeous shiny coat and magnificent regal head with bright intelligent eyes. He has a friendly, inquisitive and outgoing nature. He is always ready to befriend other dogs if they want to be friends with him, he is very friendly with people of all shapes and sizes including children, yet he will become very protective if asked to do so. He has been to Puppy School at Peninsula Vet Care in Rye and is now in Beginners Class at Peninsula Obedience Dog Club at Tootgarook. He has been very easy to train and is willing and eager to learn. He is very loyal and wants to spend every moment of the day with Ron and myself. We have a large property and yet he seldom wanders away from the vicinity of the house. He is always happy to greet us when we return from an outing even if we have only been away for a short time.

Right from our very first contact with Hannah Peters she sent us photos of Bart and was friendly and helpful to us. When we collected Bart to take him home, she had all his paperwork ready, including photos from when he was born up to eight weeks old. She supplied us with a show bag of doggie treats, collar, lead, supplements and a bag of dry dog food to keep him going. She offered her help at any time if we needed it and made us feel welcome at her home. Hannah and her family love their dogs. They are very caring people, with a great passion for perfecting the German Shepherd Dog Breed, with special emphasis on quality and temperament, concentrating on the classic look of the German Shepherd Dog that we all know and love because they are the BEST dog, the ONLY dog for us.

We highly recommend DERHARV KENNELS and are so fortunate to have the privilege of knowing and loving Bart who is now such a special member of our family.

Derharv - Scout Dear Hannah,

I am writing to express my gratitude for providing me with such a beautiful German Shepherd. As you know, I purchased Toby from Derharv Kennels in September 2006 and he has brought me and my family so much devotion and enjoyment. Of all the German Shepherds (and other dogs) I have owned, Toby has been the most obedient puppy. I was particularly impressed when he sat while I attached his lead for the first time! I began obedience training with Toby at the German Shepherd Club, and he is an absolute delight to train. He is a beautiful natured dog and gets along extremely well with the other dogs and people. I bring him with me when I pick my son up from school and he loves all the attention and cuddles from the kids.

Your devotion and dedication to your dogs is very obvious. Following my enquiry regarding purchasing Toby, I very much appreciated you forwarding me photos of him so I could see what he looked like. I have found your conduct to be extremely professional and friendly and your expert advice has been very beneficial.

Once again, thank you so very much for providing me with such a beautiful dog. I would certainly recommend you (and have!) to anybody wishing to purchase a quality German Shepherd dog.
